This ever-popular spiked ketchup has a lively kick to it.

Easily adds flavour to:

  • Any type of bangers and mash
  • Oven roasted chips and potato wedges
  • Fried and scrambled eggs
  • Barbecued meat and grilled vegetables

The more adventurous among us should try: 

  • Mixing with equal parts soy sauce and sweet rice wine to make a glaze for well-dried and cornflour-coated tofu before pan frying and finishing with toasted sesame oil and seeds
  • Adding a tablespoon to crushed white beans, breadcrumbs and chopped onion before shaping into balls and nestling into tomato sauce for a veggie meatball alternative
  • Mixing with good mayonnaise for the best Marie Rose sauce to stir sweet pink shrimp into
  • Mixing and cooking until bubbling and concentrated with a tin of chopped tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, jarred cannelini beans, smoked paprika and maple syrup for the best beans on toast

    Traditionally made just down the road here on Ynys Môn, Halen Môn are known for their exquisite sea salt, used all around the world.

    Alison and David Lea-Wilson met and fell in love at Bangor University. At around the same time, they fell in love with the area, and in particular with the incredible waterway that is the Menai Strait. 

    Since 1997, they’ve been making Anglesey sea-salt from this beautiful stretch of coast, putting to use their knowledge of the sea as a habitat and source of bio-diversity, as well as a source of world class produce. It’s this love and respect for the environment that has taken Halen Môn from local supplier to internationally recognised, super ingredient, with PDO certification. We couldn’t be prouder to call them neighbours, or to stock some of their amazing products.
