Laia Striped Cushion With Insert

The Laia Striped cushion, by Afroart, has the same handprinted pattern on both sides. The organic, trailing pattern is printed with hand carved wooden blocks on cotton cloths. After the printing process the fabric is hand-quilted to get a nice soft quality.

Afroart are a group of Swedish artists and designers who’ve been working with creators to develop and promote handmade pieces from around the world. Although initially working with craftspeople in South Africa, they expanded to partner with people across Africa, Asia and Latin-America.
